McLean Select is organized and administrated by volunteer coaches. McLean Select is more costly than McLean House League, and the costs of McLean Select are (primarily) the following:
· Franchise fee of $350 paid to the Fairfax County Youth Basketball League (“FCYBL”) for all McLean select teams to participate
· County fee for each player to use Fairfax County gyms
· $675 per team to cover the costs of the FCYBL which are primarily
o Gym time from County
o Referees
· Uniforms and accessories
o Two jerseys
o Pair of shorts
o Sweat shirt
· Tournaments
o 1 holiday tournament included in fee
o Other tournament(s) are optional and additional cost by team
· Extra gym slots for practice times
The cost of participating in McLean Select for the 2019-2020 basketball season is $340.50, $10.00 of which is for the McLean Youth Basketball Facilities Improvement Fund.
